AI Runway use

Postby jtprophet » Fri Dec 07, 2018 2:32 pm

Happy Friday folks!

And thank-you for the new version of FG!

In KCLT there are basically 3 parallel runways here and I cannot get the AI traffic to follow my KCLT.rwyuse.xml" file to allow taking off from the center runway; they tend to always go to the very end one which is 36L/18R. I followed the example from one of the other runway use files but cant figure out what I have done wrong for them not to take off from the center runway instead. I am assuming that the rwyuse.xml file belongs in the path \\fg\data\scenery\airports\k\c\l\KCLT.rwyuse.xml?

Here is what my file looks like:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<rwyuse> <!-- Times are in UTC -->
<com> <!-- Commercial Traffic-->
<wind tail="7"
cross="20" />
<time start = "00:00"
end = "24:00"
schedule = "day"/>

</com>
<gen> <!-- General Aviation -->
<wind tail="7"
cross="20"/>
<time start="00:00"
end = "24:00"
schedule = "general"/>

</gen>

<!-- commercial schedule -->
<schedule name="day">
<takeoff>36C, 36R, 18C, 18L</takeoff>
<landing>36L, 36R, 18R, 36L</landing>
</schedule>

<!-- ga schedule -->
<schedule name="general">
<takeoff>36R, 18L</takeoff>
<landing>36R, 18L</landing>
</schedule>

</rwyuse>

Thank-you

I don't have a groundnet for KCLT to test it but try this, It should give you 2 runways for take off and one for landing.

Code: Select all

<!-- commercial schedule -->
<schedule name="day">
<takeoff>36C, 18C</takeoff>
<takeoff>36R, 18L</takeoff>
<landing>36L, 36R, 18R, 36L</landing>
</schedule>

Also have a look at the KLAX runway use file that uses 2 runways for take off and 2 for landing.
Currently running 2018.1 but if it doesn't stop crashing I'm taking up tiddlywinks!
