Model Not Found:

Postby trouble946 » Thu Jul 30, 2015 4:49 pm

Evening mates,

I am using windows 7, with an ATi Radeon sapphier 5450 1gb ram, running Flight gear 3.4.0 and 2.12.6 in another identical machine.

I have downloaded the new Antonov AN-225-Mrija and saved accordingly. But whe I try loading the craft it brings this Error "Model not found: 'C:/Program Files/FlightGear/data/Aircraft/AN-225-Mrija/Models/AN-225-Mrija.Xml'"

But the file that is presumed missing is actualy in the folder.

Please can some one help with a work around. I have been waiting for this plane model for quite some time.

No! No wonder it doesnt work! NEVER remove .xml file extensions or merge planes unless you are told to!
Wipe both AN225 and redownload and install the Mirja

had you renamed the unzipped folder removing "-master" ?
Without editing anything else on the aircraft files?

I see the presumably missing file there correctly at
Models/AN-225-Mrija.xml (not Xml)

And the file is correctly being called, consequently, too

I Did the proper Renaming, but i found the solution.

The Mistake I was doing was Adding both types of Antonov 225 in the aircraft directory. And Deleting flight gear folder In C/users/user/temp/roaming.

Thank you for ur assistance guys

sure. Good to know
If you are in FG 3.4 or later, consider using FGDATA next with submodules to fetch aircraft.
It is the most safe method I know of to install and de install aircraft. (at least some git software to get the files is needed)
