This occurs with V2016.3.1, newly installed on iMac (system details below). Code is your precompiled version in dmg file. Have considerable experience with older FGFS on early Mac Pro tower. Flew it successfully for a long time.
New version on new machine starts smoothly and presents on screen with clean cockpit view. Controller is Saitek AV8R that is recognized cleanly. Use throttle handles 1 and 2 for throttle and propeller goverrnor. Handle mixture with bat switches on stick base.
Visually everything works smoothly: aileron and elevator movements in yoke; rudder movements in pedals; flap setting, (also by bat switch on stick base). But the graphics don't effect the underlying simulation model -- they're just disconnected. Views can be moved as normal, but outside views show no movement of control surfaces. In summary, controller actions are reflected correctly and smoothly in the cockpit graphics, but the simulation is disconnected. Mouse and keyboard behave as usual, but only effect cockpit graphics. Simulation is frozen. If I move from runway takeoff position and position plane 3 NM out at 1500 ft the perspective is fine, the yoke and all move but the simulation is frozen in space.
I'd be glad to help with test, and (with guidance) could do a rebuild locally from source. I'm a retired Bell Labs staff member and manager, with experience as a developer and researcher, familiar with UNIX, C, C++, Java, Python, numerical analysis (taught digital signal processing).
