is FGAdmin included in the DMG?

Postby kjd.nc » Thu Nov 12, 2015 12:57 am

Are the utilities including FGAdmin included in the Mac binary distributions? I've got 3.4 and a recent 3.6 DMG, and neither includes FGAdmin, at least not that I've been able to find. This wiki page http://wiki.flightgear.org/Howto:Instal ... om_scenery doesn't indicate that it's Windows-only, but also doesn't state where to find it on the other OS's.

I'm trying my scenery installation using the "Alternate instructions for Mac" - the tar command. I can work on the wiki once I know what it's supposed to say. :-)
Thx - kid

What exactly do you mean by 'FGAdmin'?

FGAdmin or FGRun is not part of the Mac package. Instead it uses the QtLauncher. Note that the future direction of FlightGear - it's roadmap - is the built-in, operating system independent QtLauncher (and the Qt-based GUI). This launcher will rapidly improve for future versions as features from FGRun and the other launchers are integrated.
