Command-line options

Postby hole in the ground » Tue Jul 22, 2014 11:51 am

Good morning all, hopefully this should be an easily answered question.

I have an additional aircraft folder called and using the command-line I would like to access it!

the folder is located at:

/Applications/FlightGear.app/Contents/Resources/data/Aircraft-T4T

when i stick that in as the path for

--fg-aircraft=/Applications/FlightGear.app/Contents/Resources/data/Aircraft-T4T

I still am not able to see aircraft from that folder in the aircraft tab. I have tried a few variations on the path, including adding a tilde in front of /Applications but none seem to work.

I hope that someone can quickly point out my error. Thanks for looking

Welcome to the forums!

I think the actual name of the folder has to be "Aircraft" (not "Aircraft-T4T"), and it's best to keep it outside of the application's contents, so I personally use Users/philosopher/Documents/FlightGear/Aircraft for mine (that seems to work for FG, and it keeps it in my user documents).

Philosopher, thanks for the welcome and the response. I am trying to emulate this setup:

Which has been achieved on a windows machine.

Are you saying that it is not possible to do so on a mac?
