So, I have finally succeed with rembrandt : I've updated my OS Snow Leopard (10.6.8) to Mountain Lion (10.8.2), downloaded XQuartz 2.7.4, and all is running fine.

With the old version I couldn't compile three frag files (ssao.frag, blur.frag and sunshine.frag), due to an unexpected compilation error : the compiler didn't accept to initialize array of float, as mentioned in the log report, although the syntax was correct regarded the OpenGL Shader Builder reference manual (???).

10.6.8 :
For the two files blur and sunshine it was possible to initialize the values of the arrays manually and to compile they. But for the ssao file, I was not able to initialize the v[4] of type vec2 :
const vec2 v[4] = vec2[](vec2(1.0,0.0),vec2(-1.0,0.0),vec2(0.0,1.0),vec2(0.0,-1.0));

Now in 10.8.2, all is ok (it runs also with 10.7.5 as mentioned by Philosopher here above).

So, for me, the problem is solved.

Hello,

great to hear that Rembrandt is possible on the Mac also! Unfortunately that wont be a solution for me. I have to stay at 10.6 since I need Rosetta for lots of things. Hope this somehow could be compiled for MacOS 10.6 also.

Could you post your changes ? or the whole modified shader ?

Thanks

That's relatively "complex" because it deals with nested anonymous vectors, have you tried moving each instruction to a separate line and using a temporary variable. GLSL compilers have varying quality and especially the Mac (ATI/AMD) GLSL compilers are known to have issues with more sophisticated constructs, so that it may help to reduce complexity of statements by splitting them up.

Hello everybody
Retry with Rembrandt. According the Othy's advice, I upgraded from 10.6 to 10.8, and I installed XQuartz. No results, FG plants, with log:

"Warning: Could not find plugin to read objects from file "/Volumes/Réserve/FlightGear/FlightGear.app/Contents/Resources/data/Aircraft/DR400-jsbSim/Models/Pilot/pilot.dds".

I tried to eject the dds. Of course, no plant, but holes instead of board instruments.
What is this plugin?? where and how get it ??
Thanks for answering

Maybe... but still not running here. One frame every 2,3 seconds and looks weired. No shadows also. Mac OS 10.6.8. FG 2.12.0 RC. MacPro 3,2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 16 GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5870 1 GB VRAM.

Rembrandt will be distributed with 2.12 for sure, the question is whether it will run on your hardware or not.
