Your favourite distribution for flying with Flightgear?

I fly with Mageia, a Red Hat dérivation coming from Mandriva.

What's your favourite distribution and why? Habit, low resources, user friendly?
Grew up with Dr Who then discovered Monty Python and Middle Earth. The world was never the same.

Arch, mainly because they're so quick with the updates.

Xubuntu, since that one uses Ubuntu infrastructure (which I find excellent) without having all what I hate about Ubuntu (e.g. desktop trying to spy on me, tons of SW pre-installed which I have to de-install).

Debian has lost it's significance to me after taking systemd in.

Any Debian-based distro (my FG machine is Ubuntu Mate at the moment) because apt is a great package manager, OS version upgrades are relatively smooth and easy, and the repos are well managed.
Control tower to a 747: “United 239 heavy, your traffic is a Fokker, one o’clock, three miles, Eastbound.”
United 239: “Approach, I’ve always wanted to say this… I’ve got the little Fokker in sight.”
