Ready to go home?

After the relaxing sightseeing, here comes the sweating :)

Timelapse at speed-up 10x -->

High Res version: iss2ktts_vp9_1080p.webm

Enjoy!

PS: don't be scared about the entry display, I stole Atlantis from the devel branch before it was completed! It should not be that scary :)

Why do you have the BFS takeover light blinking for most of the entry without actually doing a BFS takeover?

Yep, indeed. In fact, it actually starts to blink as soon as you transit from OPS106 to OPS201, as expected as it cannot follow PASS. The official procedure is to do a I/O reset, and that works.

The problem is that it starts blinking again while transiting between OPS202 and OPS201 on orbit while the GPC5 is off. The only way to stop it is to do again the I/O reset, so switch ON GPC 5 again, I/O reset and switch it back to OFF. Here, after ISS undocking, the need to go to tail-to-sun attitude for freon cooling requires another transition between OPS202 and OPS201, which made it blink again. At that point, I let it blinked and focused on the rest :)
Dunno the real behaviour, maybe we could add a conditional on blinking if GPC5 is off?

If your trying to motivate me to get back on the detailed ISS work, it's working. I can't imagine how fun it would be to actually open the hatch and cruise weightless inside the ISS. :idea: :wink:

This truly crossed my mind, especially on part 2/3, there are a few minutes of timelapse where the camera is almost on a panel of ISS, looking down to the Shuttle and Earth, and we see all the surface details of ISS. I said to myself, "mmm, Wayne is going to see all the little things to be improved there :)

About your little things that are already perfection, light reflection on the inner payload bay doors!!!! Part 1/3, 2m10, we see the clouds over Earth lighten by the rising sun, in the payload bay doors... Absolutely amazing!!!!! Too bad I opened the payload bay doors a bit too soon to get more sun there, it is absolutely gorgeous!

Yea... a bit ashamed about that :) The way to do it would have been to trust the HSI indicator peacefully instead of pulling that stunt at 4kfts... At least the Lukla airport landing was a good training for this :)

And my spaghetti entry svg

comes with the implicit caption "good luck man!" :) (just added a Edit in the first post to not scare the newcomers, lol!)

I'm fairly sure we shouldn't have that with no BFS GPC running at all... So I'll look into this.
