Not gonna lie, a pre-WW2 worldwide scenery, including navaids and aircraft would be cool, but you'll need a few dozen dedicated developers and at least decade of continuous development to get something passable.

41 kt wind and crosswind on final. That's insane. Nice landing anyway. 8)

After the Wednesday GA event, I still had'nt enough and dusted off my ASK21: https://fgtracker.ml/modules/fgtracker/ ... ID=7458325
My goal was to fly as far eastwards from Füssen as possible.
The recording starts at the last round of the dragger plane or so, north of the town of Füssen, near castle Neuschwanstein.

At first, there were some nice thermals shortly SE of the castle, which I got really good into and was able to circle them really nice. I could hop two clouds this way for a net gain in altitude. The third cloud near Schloss Linderhof was still nicely developed, but i was not able to get enough height out of it, mostly because it was situated badly at the side of a mountain, which prevented me to get into the core.
I got out after realizing this and tried two other locations, but they had just downdraft and no usable uplift. Then I prepared to just use the remaining height for gliding, but after some minutes, near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, I spotted a big cloud above a small hill and tried that. Huge downdrafts promised a nice core, and indeed i had +3m/s rising air; unfortunately this was the only time i was able to grasp it. All remaining tries mostly catched downdraft and the best net gain I could use was about +1. This costed so much altitude that I finally needed to land in a field nearby.

That was fun! Gliding in flightgear is really a nice experience.

I usually use these settings from the wiki:

The wiki entry https://wiki.flightgear.org/Soaring is quite nice!
