i hadn't even noticed the nose wheel was missing

don't know when you did that but the vertical stabilizer and the nose wheel were both gone before you got close to the ground in that clip you posted ;)

Funny results of beautiful osm2city algorhithms in Sarajevo, Bosnia:

On final approach to LQSA RWY 12 you have to do a well targeted flight through two high chimneys ...

Image

Well on the glidepath, later a bit too low:

Image

You have to look deeply into the scene to find my tiny Aerostar between the huge chimneys (well, still a bit low, but eventually I came down fine)

Image

Though some details may be a bit disturbing, I love the osm2city development in flightgear!

Looks like it could be one of the Piper PA-28 models.

Piper Aerostar 700, the version by Patten, see http://pattenflightgear.wifeo.com/aerostar700.php
I just realize on his website that apparently he offers a new version, have to try it!

Today I did a flight into San Diego from Oakland, CA. The approach was very fun. :) In case you didn't know, the approach path into Runway 27 takes you very close to San Diego's skyscrapers. Here are some shots:

Mount Saint Helens, approximately 46.5 miles NNE out of Portland (KPDX). I was watching a documentary on the event and just had to go see what FG's impression was.

I had to add a couple more and give thanks to the OSM2CITY crew for the outstanding work they have done over the last few years.
It's absolutely impressive what you all have achieved and I for one am very grateful. Thank you so much for all your hard work.

Portland has come to life.

I just missed an airliner flying by in this photo. Between the ortho and traditional scenery, the aircraft traffic files and the osm2city, combined with all the effects added over time. This is really looking good by default. Custom work could easily compete with the best scenery out there. We have so many of the tools needed make top end scenery. WS3.0 should just enhance this even more.
