Today I completed my first gate to gate flight in approximately 5 years, maybe a touch longer. I honestly couldn't say. I'm very excited to be returning to FlightGear - and I was quite pleased with myself for how much I remembered from back in the day. Gonna have to relearn a whole lot of stuff though.
I flew from Stockholm Arlanda (ESSA) to Riga (EVRA) as
Norwegian 4547 on the Boeing 737-800 in the UNICEF paint. Unfortunately I had some Terrasync issues which eventually forced me to quit FlightGear and relaunch, so I've no screenshots from Stockholm. Here I am on approach, though.
Crossing the coast of the Gulf of Riga.
Runway in sight, we're landing - gear down.
Not too busy in Riga - no traffic holding short.
This was my first time flying the 737-800 - I was VERY happy with my touchdown!
Brakes and thrust reversers deployed - we are down!
Ignoring the Terrasync issue - which I knew about and subsequently fixed from
this forum topic - I had a great flight. Looking forward to more hops in the 738!
