@Thorsten @wkitty you are right -- I didn't even notice that! I was more enthusiastic about how nice the trees look (is that new???)

I removed the TerraGIT anyways after this flight because he kills my framerates! (which was long overdue, I was just lazy - now I Have 200GBs free on Data Disk)

Kind Regards,
Josh

Not really - they've been there for a while - they look better when you run AA because they can then use alpha to coverage - maybe that's the difference?

In any case, I spent a week or so researching Hawaii plantlife (many shrubs) and trying to obtain public domain imagery to make a texture - vegetation on Oahu and Kauai should look like this

(here's Honolulu in the background)

and I find it somewhat vexing if it does not...

Looks good

As for building over water - this is Terrasync scenery so not sure what's up.

After studying up on the correct approach, I gave Zurich to Innsbruck another try with some snow.

That was followed by Zurich to Amsterdam.

Yeah, the angles look much better now!

Isn't the approach just fabulous? I love that view, diving into this big valley...

It's definitely some of the best scenery FlightGear has to offer. Metar has been providing me with challenging low-level clouds that just barely conceal the tops of the mountains. Diving through them into the valley is something else.
