Cessna 172P Screenshots

Postby gsagostinho » Fri Aug 17, 2018 6:54 pm

Hi all,

I have been working on some new splash screens for the c172p ahead of our next release and I thought I would share some nice screenshots that I took.

Thanks lego! As for the airport, that's Aosta (LIMW) in the north of Italy and located in a valley. It has a very nice surrounding scenery and the airport itself has a nice terminal. Do check it out in the sim :D

Just for the sake of comparison, this is how the c172p was looking before the 'detailed' project started:

Well, you didn't really need to contrast to impress us

Thanks, Thorsten! I hope I did not come across as arrogant or something, sometimes I just like to see the progress we have made over a long stretch of time. Features are introduced one by one (and often slowly) so it's easy to forget how the aircraft was looking even just a couple of months ago, as one gets used to the new looks. I also mean absolutely no offence or disrespect to any of the first developers of the c172p (before we took over the project), they never really had a dedicated team to this single aircraft like we do and we are also taking full advantage of all new features that the sim has to offer today which was not available to them back then. But needless to say, I am super proud of how the plane is looking now :)

it is absolutely a fantastic looking and handling craft... i am a tad biased, though, since i'm also on the team and the guys doing the heavy lifting are a great group to be a part of...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Yes, that it is!

The only 'problem' is that new users get to see this first - and afterwards, nearly every other plane in the repo is going to be a disappointment
