Did YAGCT (Yet Another Grand Canyon Tour) in the P-51! Quite a challenge - one, I have to admit, I wasn't up to!

IFR = I follow rivers! 8)

Shortly after takeoff from Page (KPGA), heading south-west - arriving at the Grand Canyon:

Going in:

Let's start it off slowly:

Now let's get real! Some very steep corners to take:

One emergency escape skywards:

Goin back in:

Shortly before some corner was too steep:

Then I ended up scattered across the river... oh well. Still, was a lot of fun!
And once she flies, the P-51 is an amazing aircraft. On the ground she's a b!+(h!

Some more unsorted pics from that flight:

For the grand canyon tour, you might want to update your FG to 2016.1, the walls are much nicer!

Approaching Runway 28(R) at Chicago O'Hare. Suddenly, some idiot decided that I was too slow for him, and passed below. Pilot error or controller error? Or are AI planes not as intelligent as the letter I implies?

A flight from Brussels (EBBR) to Gran Canaria (GCLP) in the Boeing 777-300ER today. Take-off at 1525Z, touch-down at 1916Z. I inserted the big black cross to fill in the gap between my screens.

Turning Base while on approach TERTO3C. Gran Canaria Airport is straight ahead.
Image

Turning Final, performing the last checks before being handed over to Tower Control.
Image

On Final, descending to 3000ft, reducing speed 160KIAS. Notice the beautiful windmills right under the final approach path.
Image

Short Final, gear down, autobrakes set, speedbrakes armed, manual control.
Image

Parked at the tarmac. I always forget how big this bird is compared to other airliners.

AI craft are basic... they fly their own way... i like following them in the UFO... was glad i was in the UFO one day as i was following an AI from KDFW to KSFO and the danged thing flew right through a mountain to get to the southern end of the bay before turning northward to line up for landing...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
