The latest nightly build (which should be tonight) will automatically contain your latest changes. It's just a matter of waiting 1-2 days.

In most cases you are probably right, but when technical people interact they mostly say exactly what they mean.
I think this is such a case.

Normally I would say: git pull
But to be honest I don't know how this is handled in nightly builds.

Yeah, I'm currently doing that and I'll see how it goes.

Question to the HDR users.

Ican get things working and got stuff that looks fantastic like this:-

But then my screen will randomly turn like this:-

or go completely black. Is this currently normal when using HDR ? or is something triggering it in some way ? ( W10 with a 3070 card )

right now it is "normal"... it has something to do with updating a reflection map on the scene, i think... something like that... icecode definitely knows about it and why...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Yes, I don't know if it's the same thing. But if you start up at a runway where your view is hidden behind an object such as a mountainside it will be completely black until you get out of that view and the view updates. I don't know if I explain that correctly but it's something like that according to @icecode.

If you spawn in the air it increases the chances you won't see the black just now, but it may return once you are on the ground (Win10 1070Ti)

Yeah, you still need

--prop:/sim/rendering/photoscenery/enabled=true

in the command line, although I think the GUI choice is the same switch?

I really enjoy this thread on the forum because of its high level of diversity, especially when it comes to sharing content from different parties and not just exclusively from the direct developer. As a reader, I also enjoy the discrepancies between developers, although it seems that physics and engineering do not share the same solutions. Even so, I believe that for each reader of the forum it is an enriching experience. Well, the technical level of these contributions is very high and I congratulate you for how hard you work at FlightGear. Thank you very much to all.

I have a maybe stupid question. Now that you are working with lighting, do you use color calibrated monitors?

@icecode, why does the textranslate animation not work in HDR? Hasn't been implemented yet or something else?

Textranslate relies on gl_TextureMatrix, which is a predefined uniform from the fixed-pipeline. HDR cannot use the fixed pipeline as one of the main objectives is to use the core profile. I have to reimplement it from scratch, it's on my public TODO list in the HDR wiki article.
