i'm not sure i'm understanding what you are trying to say...

to use a browser to access the FG internal web server, you have to enable the web server by telling FG which port the server is to listen on... this is done via the "--http=xxxx" command option... the 'xxxx' are replaced with the port you want the server to listen on... this can be any unused port on your machine and the range is generally 1025-65535... 1025 and up because in most cases, port 1 through 1024 require admin access so we just make it easy and say 1025-66535...

so, if you start FG with "--http=4242", then you would use your browser on the same machine with http://localhost:4242 to access the FG Phi web interface...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Oh sorry I mess it a bit I guess....
I don't want connect the FG through the server....

The issue is when I leave the fullscreen FG and open a browser window looking for any information about an airport or something, when I return to FG it doesn't respond to my commands. I have to change the view using shift-X and X again!

do you have the same problem if you run FG in a window instead of full screen?
