VOR1 Glideslope Direction is Opposite on c172p Webpanel.

Hello Everyone,

I hope this message finds you all well. I have been working on Flightgear and this is one of the issues i have been hung up on for about a month now. In the image below;
3100 ft means we are on the glideslope. Airport is KUNV ( University Park Airport), Runway 24, aircraft is c172p

If you take a look at the image link below, you will notice on the VOR1 located in the cockpit, it shows that we are below the glideslope. This is correct as we are at about 2600 ft which is below the glideslope, so the VOR in the cockpit depicts my actual flight behavior.

On the other hand, if you look at the image you will notice the webpanel, the VOR1 on here shows that we are above the glideslope. Exactly the opposite of what the VOR1 on the cockpit says. Now, every other instrument on the webpanel and cockpit both match up except the VOR1. It seems the VOR1 on the webpanel has the correct magnitude but the wrong direction.

I am hoping someone here has an idea of what could be going on? Or can offer some sort of direction...as to how to fix the VOR1 on the webpanel. The localizer works well and shows the correct thing on both the VOR1 in the cockpit and on the webpanel. It is the glideslope that has this issue.....

Thank you so much.

Just curious, but where do you get the web panel? Thanks!

That's most probably my fault. I'd check it, but I've moving my simulation environment to a different computer

Try setting line 36 of this file from 120 to -120: https://github.com/c172p-team/c172p/blo ... 1.json#L36

If it works, do the same with VOR2.json

awen, the c172p includes a panel you can check from any external computer/table in the same network. Also, there is an branch (Issue-1308) that makes this panel actionable: https://github.com/c172p-team/c172p/issues/1308

it comes with the c172p... other craft may have similar...

how do you access it? simple...
  1. start your FG with "--http=XXXXX" where the "XXXXX" is an unused port number on you system...
the FG web server will bind to this port...
be sure to use a port number between 1024 and 65535...
  2. then point your browser at your system and that port...
that should bring up Phi, which is a good test to start with to make sure you can access the FG web server...
  3. once you can access Phi, then you can try to access the craft's web panel...
eg: i start FG with --http=5500...
i select to fly the c172p...
once FG has loaded, i point my browser to (literally) http://localhost:5500/aircraft-dir/WebPanel/c172p-webpanel.html...
yes, the c172p's web panel is named "c172p-webpanel.html"...
yes, "aircraft-dir" is the proper directory... i had thought it was a placeholder to be replaced with the craft's directory but it is not...
if you have another machine you want to use the web panel from, you can point it to your FG machine as above but you would use your FG machine's name, not localhost...

eg: my FG machine's name is skyhawk and i start FG with --http=42000 so my browser link then becomes http://skyhawk:42000/aircraft-dir/WebPanel/c172p-webpanel.html...
this works as long as you can access your machines on your internal LAN via their names...
you may have to allow other machines access through a firewall on your FG machine...

how to create a web panel for a craft? start here: http://wiki.flightgear.org/Howto:Create_WebPanel_instrument
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
