How do I get repo folder to match README folder tree?

Postby Frankly7 » Sun Jun 28, 2020 1:43 am

I cloned the flightgear and simgear sourceforge repos and looked at the flightgear README.msvc file, and it recommends the following directory structure:

Code: Select all
${MSVC_3RDPARTY_ROOT} /
3rdParty /                 ( includes plib, fltk, zlib, libpng,
                                   libjpeg, libtiff, freetype, libsvn,
                                   gdal, ... )
         bin /
         include /
         lib /
      3rdParty.x64 /             ( 64 bit version )
         ...
      boost_1_44_0 /
         boost /
      install /
         msvc100 /               ( for VS2010 32 bits, or msvc90,
                                   msvc90-64 or msvc100-64 for VS2008 32,
                                   VS2008 64 and VS2010 64 )
            OpenSceneGraph /     ( OSG CMake install )
               bin /
               include /
               lib /
            SimGear /
               include /
               lib /

However, this is not the structure of either repository. Where do I find the folders listed above?

see the red box above? click the link to the mailing list, join, and ask about this in there... they would have the most detailed info on the proper structure to use... it could easily be that the readme file is out of date but they would be able to tell you that...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
