Bullets from nowhere

Would it be possible to make AI ballistic objects like bullets visible all along their flight? Right now you only start to see them hundreds of feet ahead of the aircraft.

I watched some footage from the battle of Britain, and you could see them!

You could add a "dist-scale" animation to your tracer model so that it grows with distance. Also, make sure the life span of your tracer is long enough to always remain visible.

You don't see bullets as they travel. What you see in the old films are either tracers, which were fired every 40-50 rounds or con trails of the bullets which are only visible in certain conditions.
Tracers were used to estimate the travel of bullets or indicate the end of ammunition. Tracers can be misleading because they had a somewhat different trajectory than normal bullets.

There only 2-4 million apiece, plus another million or two in maintenance.
After all, a Navy F-35 is $337,000,000
