left vs right aileron

I have an X52 pro and i get the feeling that left turns much more the right for the same stick deflection

Easy to test, go into help and joystick. Look at the axis values, while you move the joystick. Then you can be sure it is not the aircraft.

it looks right but feels odd, must just be me, probably my setup and sitting position
But i only seem to experience it in this game?

In a well modeled propeller FDM the aircraft will roll faster in one direction because of engine torque. In most cases this will be to the left for US aircraft.

IOW, the type of plane matters a lot. A single engine prop job will lean to one side, always. Gotta trim it.

1. Try it in a jet.

2. Use the help>joystick configuratorizator to see what your joystick is doing.

Better yet: try the UFO with a HUD.

Definitely feels and looks odd, sometimes, I also have a second opinion on it

Also joystick config wipes over my custom setup

Which version of flightgear are you using? I'm pretty sure it doesn't do that any more. Have you tried using js_demo to see what values your joystick is outputting?
