Either this is a spammer or you got the wrong site.

This might be "FlightGear", but this is not a universal forum. This forum is used for the FlightGear flight sim.

It could be that he wants to use some stuff he paid for. I don't think it can be done. At least in an easy way.

We don't have any payware add-ons here, we're an open-source development and bye the way, our 747-200 is crap.

hi there first of all island monkey no offence but please read and don't post non-helpful posts(keeping it clean)

you can covert the model from FSX and maybe FS9 (not usre) i tought i saw a wiki page on that maybe someone else can help youwith that

but before you can get to that you have to ask the creator(s) which is the hardest part so i don't think the creator will say yes but you can always try.

it's illegal to do it without permission

about the C++ thing i don't know how that relavates to flightgear the program is based on xml and nasal learn that and you can make flightgear better

hope that helps a bit

Crap is not a very bad word for me.

Trez, are you serious that this guy is suddenly to going to make his aircraft work in FlightGear? He's only been here 3 days. Same for the author, the author would have no idea either, since there is no guide for converting models from FS2004/X on wiki.

1) The RFP 742 is freeware since about 2009.

2) (Airplane) Models can't be easily extracted from .mdl files. There's tools to view them, but the export function always leaves you with an unsmoothed, untextured and cluttered model without animations.

3) Maybe the OP wants to use data extracted from the 742 for modelling systems for the FG 742?
There's a tool named Blckbox which can display and log the values of variables used in (a) specific gauge(s), but it only works for XML based ones.
Since the RFP 742 most probably uses the closed .gau format, BB isn't of use.
For FS2000, there's Gaugedump, but I'm not sure if it works for FS8/9 version gauges.

Maybe the web has more...

freeware doesn't mean it's gpl so you still can't redistribute it without permission :P
