Old cockpit in modern aircraft

Postby bill blown » Sat Sep 10, 2022 12:01 pm

Hi
Quite often I start flight gear in the 757 or something else and it initially starts up with an Old cockpit over the top of the 757 cockpit and I cant get rid of it so I can just have the proper cockpit view.
Its not all the time but irritating when it does. I did have some of the old stringbag aircraft installed but uninstalled them and thats when this issue started.
I am on Ubuntu, I did a screenshot but no idea how to put it on here.
Thanks in advance
Bill

Sorry missed this
Its the latest version of flight gear
a Lenovo laptop (no idea what graphics card it uses but it is fine most of the time.
Everything I download is from the program itself
Not sure about the other questions sorry

Well I sorted it by deleting a couple of saved flights, I tried starting in the caravan and it worked normally and then went back to 757 and the string bag has gone, weird lol

old cockpit sounds like you have mistakenly hit SHIFT-P at some point... that brings up the old 2D c172p dashboard... hit SHIFT-P again to remove it and then do not hit SHIFT-P any more ;)
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
