Parachute animation

Postby m830 » Mon Apr 18, 2022 12:30 am

Hi,

I found the parachute animation. When I get the walker out of the cessna while flying, he appears in a horizontal position, I press "j" and he moves his arm as if deploying the chute. Then, he gets into a vertical position an descends gently to the ground. Trouble is, there is never a visible chute and this breaks the atmosphere big time.
Looking through the sim files, I found

C:\FlightGear 2020.3\data\Aircraft\Generic\Human\Include\walker-include.xml

...where I changed

<parachute-equipped type="bool">false</parachute-equipped>

to

<parachute-equipped type="bool">true</parachute-equipped>

to no avail. Is this feature even implemented in the sim? Any tips appreciated ;)
