Male pilot voice?

Postby m830 » Sat Apr 16, 2022 3:06 pm

Hi,
I'm new to the simulator and I'm already loving it. All my previous experience had been with Microsoft stuff. I recently installed Red Griffin ATC. I haven't installed Festival yet, but by my searchs in this forum, the pilot voice is not controlled by RGATC (please correct me if I'm wrong). I haven't found an answer to this question, but somebody in the forum stated that they could hear a male pilot voice when using ATC, so I guess it must be possible. So, how do I do that? Any tips appreciated.

I'm using Windows 10 x64

Hello there!
At the moment, FlightGear internal speech support provides two voices only as well as Festival server support. The two internal HTS Festival voices - you found that out already - are "decent" in regards to the female voice, quite awful in regards to the male voice.
That's why I implemented Festival support in my Red Griffin ATC in order to have a better voice experience and realism. I strongly suggest you to configure Festival in your system and take advantage of its superior voice capabilities and flexibility.
