- what OS (Windows Xp/Vista, Mac etc.) are you running?
- what FlightGear version do you use?
- what graphics card do you have?
- does the problem occur with any aircraft, at any airport?

Can't search airport

Postby RHW The What » Fri Jan 07, 2022 6:48 am

I can't search for any airport, all saved airports also disappear. Searched for airports,
but no results showed up, and I spawned in a random location instead (around San Francisco)

Also, every time FG restarts, it shows the "initializing navigation data" message

Maybe you use FG nightly build with removed handling some apt data? See: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=40087

Any solution to solve this? Reinstalling doesn't seem to fix the issue.

And I have the same problem.
I have win10 installed.
How do I fix it?
With a nightly, older one.
Uninstall the latest version and do not delete the option remove airports settings etc.

Good luck, it works for me.
miguel
sorry: and now install the latest version of : Nightly.

go to the sourceforge link where you downloaded the one you have... older ones may still be there... i emphasize "may"...

have you reported the problem in the bug tracker link listed at the top of all of these forum pages? if it doesn't get reported, it may not be known about by the devs... reporting it in the bug tracker and following up if/when they ask further questions makes sure to bring it to their attention... if they can reproduce it and provide a fix, then you can test it and see if it really is fixed for you... if it is, let them know and they can close the bug report otherwise, let them know what happens so they can look further...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
