Command Line Options for Nav Radios (C172p)

Postby Kaosiia » Mon Feb 01, 2021 5:33 pm

Hello, i noriced that setting the command line options for the nav radios does not change them (both the F12 radio stack and the panel). For example, setting the following below on the command line prompt,

--nav1=244:111.7 --airport=KUNV --runway=24

does not change it. It seems as though the ILS is still tuned to an old settings.

Is there a way to fix this? So flightgear uses the new settings i provide on the command line prompt?

Thanks!!

Try this

--nav1=244:111.7

note: no spaces and use a colon ( : )

That still does not work.

It seems that flightgear is using old settings and not recognizing the new settings i set on the command line prompt.

sorry, what do you mean by broken tested on next @benih? I don't quite understand the wording of your response :(

Thanks,

next is the name of the repository branch where current development of FG takes place...

but, it is possible that the c172p is loading the saved state data from your previous flight... the c172p and a few other craft have this capability... it is a feature... you can turn it off in-sim via the F10 menu... it is located in the c172p specific options menus...

"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

I was investigating this today for a brief period, but ran out of time. I think this may have something to do with some preset data in FGDATA. I recall code that set radios to the frequency of the airport you're starting at. But I haven't verified that yet. I don't think it's settings from the c172p or save data, it only saves it if you have it turned on and I tried it without it turned on and it still reset the radio.

If I am right about this then this behavior should exist in all aircraft. I wont be able to look at this until possibly as late as Wednesday.
