- what OS (Windows Xp/Vista, Mac etc.) are you running?
- what FlightGear version do you use?
- what graphics card do you have?
- does the problem occur with any aircraft, at any airport?
- where did you download your aircraft/scenery from?
- is there any output printed to the console (black window)?
- copy&paste your commandline (tick the "Show commandline box on the last page of FGRun or the "Others" section on the Mac launcher).

Please report any bugs not specific to an aircraft on the issue tracker.
To run FlightGear on old computers with bad OpenGL support, please take a look at this wiki article.

Fly button does not work

Postby Cyborg73 » Sun Dec 06, 2020 2:51 am

I just installed FlightGear "FlightGear2020.3.2" on Windows 10.
Graphic Card: Nvidia Quatro Pro 1000.
Running in fgfs.exe alone always run the Cesna 172P which is working fine but I want to use other plane I have downloaded.
When I am starting FlighGear using the Windows menu, I am able to select my plane, location, etc. But when I click the Fly button, nothing happen (current windows is closed).

I run the fgfs.exe --launcher in console mode, nothing is displayed in the console even if I select "Show debug console"

what craft is it?
how did you download this other craft?
how did you tell FG about it so it would show it to you?
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

I also download plane from the plane menu.
Th Fly button does not go to the cockpit but close the windows.
I can only play by running the command line.

"close the windows"?? do you mean it closes the sim??

perhaps you might try 2020.3.4? there have been several bugs fixed from 2020.3.2 and 2020.3.3...

This should be known bug. Some Quadro boards can't use some shaders and when You activate it, FG will instantly crash to desktop. Try this :
- find folder Video\Nvidia Corporation
- copy file Quadro K1000m.xml into Quadro P1000.xml

Then try to fly.
Fly high, fly fast - fly Concorde !
