Forum rules
In order to help you, we need to know a lot of information. Make sure to include answers to at least the following questions in your initial post.

- what OS (Windows Xp/Vista, Mac etc.) are you running?
- what FlightGear version do you use?
- what graphics card do you have?
- does the problem occur with any aircraft, at any airport?
- where did you download your aircraft/scenery from?
- is there any output printed to the console (black window)?
- copy&paste your commandline (tick the "Show commandline box on the last page of FGRun or the "Others" section on the Mac launcher).

Please report any bugs not specific to an aircraft on the issue tracker.
To run FlightGear on old computers with bad OpenGL support, please take a look at this wiki article.

Note: If you did not get a reponse, even after 7 days, you may want to check out the FlightGear mailing lists to ask your question there.

Hi, I tired to use Phi map in PC without internet connection, map was not loading. Is there any way to use openstreetmap offline in flightgear. Thanks in advance.

no... the maps and chart overlays have to be pulled from their servers using their APIs...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

A small issue (?) with Phi map, which does not really deserve its own topic.

Is there a way to disable the "drag-the-plane" function in the Phi interface?
What I mean is, when you drag and drop your plane icon on the map, the actual plane in FlightGear moves with it. So you can teleport your plane to any location using nothing but the map.
This might be useful for certain purposes, but during normal flight it's quite irritating when, while trying to move the map itself, you accidentally grab the plane and teleport it somewhere else. So, it would be great if this feature could be disabled somewhere.

i've done that a few times, too... i learned real quickly to grab the map somewhere away from any craft being displayed on it ;)
i never asked about disabling that feature...

I am not asking to disable the feature. I just wanted to know if, perhaps, there is already a setting to do so.
If not, I'll just be more careful, that's all

i'm not aware of any switch that would disable it... one might find something if they go through the code for Phi but i'm guessing there's not anything... could be wrong, though... you can find the code in your fgdata directory in the Phi subdirectory...
