Hi,

i usually use "http://mpmap02.flightgear.org" to find my Waypoints for my Route. Today is the first time i see the page is down.

Is this forever now? Somebody knows?

And if yes, is there another Site, where i can find Nav-Aids like Fixes and Vors on a map? Because "http://mpmap03.flightgear.org/" does not show them.

Thank you very much for help,

You can use the map in browser (Phi) accessed in sim from the menubar or an online map like skyvector.com.

Thanks for the response. The map in Browser from the menubar does not work for me.

And the skyvector site is way to complicate for me. And it does not show me the fix-waypoints i need. The Flightgear-Map showed me all fixes of the area i was looking at. That does not work with skyvector.com.

Could you explain more about the map in the browser not working? What does it do or not do?
Thanks,

I've got the same problem with the mpmap02 .
As you can see in the picture below, there's a simple 404 error, so I guess there's something wrong with the HTTP server or with the directory of the mpmap...

Try doing what it says, in the launcher there is if I remember correctly an option to enable the HTTPD webserver. If not, there is a command line interface in the launcher where you can put that command in (--httpd=8080)

Ok, this is working. I had to manually put the command into the interface, but now it opens the browser with all Options working fine.

There are a lot of options on this site, i have to figure them out first. Never saw this, but it seems to be very useful. (I just crashed plenty of times, because you can move the airplane with your mouse just like a god^^)

I still miss the "mpmap02", very much liked it and i hope it will come back soon. But this User-Interface seems easy and helpful.

So, thank you very much!

It has interesting features; I found the terrain feature. But does it have satellite photo display mode? And from the above answer do I get the impresssion we won't be getting mpmap02 back?

all we know at this time is that mpmap02 is down... i've seen nothing mentioned on the dev list about it and nothing in any of the topic areas here...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Yep, me too. And the in FG map (with the --httpd=8080 enabled) opens the browser but the browser gives a "404 Not Found".
FG tries to connect to "http://localhost:8080/#Map". Is that correct? I am no expert, but seems strange to me

hello guys,

Also I started having this 502 bad gateway today on June 3 , 2018. So now both mpmap03.flightgear.org and mpmap02.flightgear.org appear to be out. The mpmap03 was working earlier today for sure; Oh and i just remember that I updated my flightgear today with the auto update in Linux Mint XFCE Betsy to 2018.2.1, but not sure what I was running before. Im also having some kind of lock up problems in game with the Piper Pa-18's, but thats another subject and its the Piper j3 Cub that got changes in update.. Recent Changes are here at http://wiki.flightgear.org/Changelog_2018.2

we'll see tommorrow, happy flying!
