In the additional options box in the settings page of the launcher, enter --httpd=8080 before clicking Fly.

or you can use any other unused port, too... 80, 8000, 8080 and other web related ports are not set in stone... over here, we use 5500 because that's what FGRun used when we first used it and learned FGs command line options... the above message says "8080" because that's just a default that FG has for the message... 8080 definitely will not work if one is running (eg) a web proxy on it ;)

so we have "--http=5500" and we look at it via "http://our.local.machine.name.invalid:5500" when we look manually...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Thank you for your help. It turns out the problem was I had quotes around my web browser command line.
--browser-app="C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe"
--enable-real-weather-fetch
--httpd=8080
--ceiling=750:3000 --visibility-miles=1

if it is set as the default browser, you should not need that --browser-app line at all...

TBH, this is the first i've seen/heard of it but that's not saying a lot ;)
