Forum rules
In order to help you, we need to know a lot of information. Make sure to include answers to at least the following questions in your initial post.

- what OS (Windows Xp/Vista, Mac etc.) are you running?
- what FlightGear version do you use?
- what graphics card do you have?
- does the problem occur with any aircraft, at any airport?
- where did you download your aircraft/scenery from?
- is there any output printed to the console (black window)?
- copy&paste your commandline (tick the "Show commandline box on the last page of FGRun or the "Others" section on the Mac launcher).

Please report any bugs not specific to an aircraft on the issue tracker.
To run FlightGear on old computers with bad OpenGL support, please take a look at this wiki article.

Note: If you did not get a reponse, even after 7 days, you may want to check out the FlightGear mailing lists to ask your question there.

Looks okay! Your main constraint will be the graphics card. Better turn down effects and use undeveloped areas.
There are free alternatives to (almost) every program you encounter. You just have to find them.

Regarding your graphics card, see: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/304 ... -q965-q963

In general, you may want to consider using/getting a dedicated graphics card with at least 1024MB (1gb) of dedicated VRAM which supports recent versions of OpenGL and GLSL.
These days, a decent GPU will be in the $ 50-100 US ballpark typically.

Also may be worth using Terramaster https://github.com/Portree-Kid/terramaster then your system won't have contend with downloading and then loading up tiles, I have the whole world downloaded on my hard disk it takes up around 85Gb, This isn't an issue for me as I have 1Tb hard drive, But if your hard drive is smaller than 500Gb it might be better if you just download the tiles that you frequently fly in. Hope this is of some help

the only thing i don't see mentioned is your memory... you have 4Gig but you may want to add more... i have 16Gig here and easily get FG to use 10Gig without much effort... at that point, i can tell that things are getting rough as the system starts swapping... so at least 16Gig or RAM is my recommendation... more is better if your motherboard can handle it...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

it should but i would add more RAM if possible... 8Gig would be ok but more would be better...

to find out what graphics card you have, look in your device manager...

ahhh... what model of laptop... then we can see the full specs on it...

it probably will run... maybe not great... i would still definitely consider upgrading the RAM, too... even if you don't do a lot of FG, everything else will thank you for the extra memory...

i see what you mean... give it a try but don't expect a whole lot...

did i mention upgrading the memory? after reading the specs on that system, yeah... your GPU shares memory with the main system... if your W10 is 64bit, it can access more than 4Gig RAM... this day in time, 8Gig is a bare minimum i recommend... that's heading toward 16Gig year by year, though... so your 4Gig is split... some of it for video and the rest for the OS and everything running on it... increasing the RAM will greatly reduce swapping and make the system feel faster overall...

so that unit appears to have one RAM slot... that means you have to replace that RAM module with another one...

i did a quick google search for "Aspire R3-131T ram upgrade" and the Crucial site came up with decent prices... about $45US going by this page https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/acer/aspire-r3-131t... looking a little further down the search results, memorystock.com shows about $35US for a similar module... walmart.com shows a similar compatible module from Computer Memory Solutions for about the same price...

if you follow the above search link, you should also find a youtube video or two that shows you the actual replacement process...
