Launcher sometimes doesn't start FG

I select my plane, airport &c. Then I select "Fly!" But FG suddenly terminates with the help string. Just above it is the string "option:disable-auto-coordination = ". I've gathered that "true" or "false" should be to the right of the equal sign, but I haven't found a consistent way to do this.

the command parser for flightgear is tighter than it used to be... when it finds an invalid command sequence, it exits and shows the help so you might be able to fix the problem... in this case, remove those spaces from around the equals sign... or just use the command as --disable-auto-coordination...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

I usually run FG with multiplayer on. I've noticed that when I start up the launcher, the popup menu with the MP servers is occasionally set to a blank option, and when I select a server, it starts up properly.
