- what OS (Windows Xp/Vista, Mac etc.) are you running?
- what FlightGear version do you use?
- what graphics card do you have?
- does the problem occur with any aircraft, at any airport?
- where did you download your aircraft/scenery from?
- is there any output printed to the console (black window)?
- copy&paste your commandline (tick the "Show commandline box on the last page of FGRun or the "Others" section on the Mac launcher).

Please report any bugs not specific to an aircraft on the issue tracker.

How do I show a map in a second screen?

Postby bgriffis » Wed Mar 29, 2017 3:47 am

I am running Flightgear 2016.2.1 from the Ubuntu repositories.
I click on Maps and like seeing the map. Also tried map in canvas. I may be misunderstanding what display map in browser does - my goal is to use one screen for flying and a second screen to display my map. I clicked on options and added --httpd=8080

I click on Map (open in browser) and get a tab opened that shows http://localhost:8080/#Map
But there is nothing on that page. It is blank. How do I display a map in that browser so I can pull it over to a second screen?

That should work... Try the following.
-Give it a little patience. The web app also has a tendency to stay at a broken look for a while before fully appearing...
-Check your firewalls.
-Try navigating to http://localhost:8080 and see if anything shows up.
There are free alternatives to (almost) every program you encounter. You just have to find them.
