- what OS (Windows Xp/Vista, Mac etc.) are you running?
- what FlightGear version do you use?
- what graphics card do you have?
- does the problem occur with any aircraft, at any airport?

Please report any bugs not specific to an aircraft on the issue tracker.
To run FlightGear on old computers with bad OpenGL support, please take a look at this wiki article.

That 40GB of RAM is kind of a waste of money... the most you NEEDED was 16GB.

I believe pressing Enter on the numpad will also send the message in the chatbox, although you may hear some funny messages: yyywqebbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb,,,,,......mMMMMMMMnnnNNNssssssssssssssssssss}}}{{{

Also, I've had this bug happen to me while using 3.6RC.

I see. Thanks.
I am sure, that the bug will be fixed in the next version :)

40 GB RAM

Actually, I create some big physical RamDrives sometimes. I do very various things with them. I also install virtual machines on them.
RamDrives are very fast. So that's why I needed 40 GB.

I'm satisfied with it. But 16 GB is really good too.
6 GB of RAM is the absolute minimum for a Computer in 2016. (FTP Servers just need 256 MB or even less to work properly  ) In 2012, it was a pleasure to have 16 GB. But on average, I needed 7 GB.

Another reason for 40 GB RAM, which is no important one, but it's pleasent:
I can show off in front of my friends. :)

I am a power user.

Just that I thought you had made a mistake, thinking that 40GB would give you immense frame rates. Sorry; I didn't know that you needed the 40.

My Problem:
I am unable to get out of this Chat window in the middle!!!
...
[color=#028482]Is there any way to get out of this? The normal chat controls or ESC or any other Keystroke is useless. : ? :
ESC asks FlightGear to exit. And everything else i press just goes into that Chat Message Window.
...

Years later and this bug still present, even on development version straight from GIT.

Please, is there any dev who reads this?
IRC #FlightGear channel is pretty much dead, on SourceForge there is not a lot of movement either.

Is FlightGear dead too?
All I see is a lot of resources going on completely useless stuff, yet extremely important bugs and performance issues still exist, for several years...

I'm sure calling other people's priorities 'completely useless' will get you the attention you crave - works reliably in the real world as well if you need something from a volunteer.

I'd suggest if something is extremely important to you, you look into the code (it's completely Open Source), fix it and submit a patch - because apparently it's completely not important to everyone else.
