Forum rules
In order to help you, we need to know a lot of information. Make sure to include answers to at least the following questions in your initial post.

- what OS (Windows Xp/Vista, Mac etc.) are you running?
- what FlightGear version do you use?
- what graphics card do you have?
- does the problem occur with any aircraft, at any airport?
- where did you download your aircraft/scenery from?
- is there any output printed to the console (black window)?
- copy&paste your commandline (tick the "Show commandline box on the last page of FGRun or the "Others" section on the Mac launcher).

Please report any bugs not specific to an aircraft on the issue tracker.
To run FlightGear on old computers with bad OpenGL support, please take a look at this wiki article.

Note: If you did not get a reponse, even after 7 days, you may want to check out the FlightGear mailing lists to ask your question there.

Can you please go into /Users/<your username>/Library/Application Support/FlightGear and upload a copy of your fgfs.log file to https://swanson.kdab.com/owncloud/index.php/s/P0DMwvV6TdQR5CW ?

The Finder's 'go to folder' dialog may help you with this.

I solved the problem by going into fgrun (...\FlightGear 2016.1.1\bin\fgrun) instead of the Qt launcher and going into launch control (Click the "Prev" button) then under FG_SCENERY checking that the file path is correct for your terrasync folder. If it isn't click "Add" and browse to the correct location. This worked for me but may not necessarily work for others.

you can easily do the same thing in the --launcher... but the point still remains... one of the main developers asked for the log file so they can try to figure out what the problem is and get it fixed so that others don't run into it, too...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

A quick update for the record: This issue is mainly due to a stale fgfs.pid file in $FG_HOME on certain MS Windows systems which makes $FG_HOME partly read-only, blocking TerraSync from downloading. This has been permanently fixed in the latest 2017.1.2 release.
