Game closes when I press "fly"

All general support: help on flying, installation, hardware, getting online etc. There are lots of users and developers to help you out.
Forum rules
In order to help you, we need to know a lot of information. Make sure to include answers to at least the following questions in your initial post.

- what OS (Windows Xp/Vista, Mac etc.) are you running?
- what FlightGear version do you use?
- what graphics card do you have?
- does the problem occur with any aircraft, at any airport?
- where did you download your aircraft/scenery from?
- is there any output printed to the console (black window)?
- copy&paste your commandline (tick the "Show commandline box on the last page of FGRun or the "Others" section on the Mac launcher).

Please report any bugs not specific to an aircraft on the issue tracker.

Game closes when I press "fly"

Whenever I press "fly " on the launcher, I get a loading screen, but instead of going into the game, It just randomly crashes. Strangely, some aircraft still work. Does anyone know what is happening?

If it crashes randomly my guess would be, that the random number generator needs some improvement.. :D
But, seriously, read the rules box at the top of this page and supply us with some more information. Additionally, if you can locate some errors in the log files when a crash happens, please include this info too.

it happens for some aircraft but not others (mentioned prev.)
github, mostly
commandline:
--enable-terrasync
--enable-fuel-freeze
also, i haven't found much, if at all, errors in the log.

OK, windows is not my area of interest, but:
- does it always crash with a particular aircraft? If yes, which one(s)?
- does it never crash with a particular aircraft? If yes, which one(s)?

Crashes with Boeing 777, airbus a340, airbus a350
Doesn't crash with Boeing 737 max and Cessna 172

OK, so we know something.
Do you know how to run a program inside a debugger, in Windows?
The idea is: run FG in debugger, with an aircraft which causes a crash. When a crash occurs, do a full stack backtrace.
