StarJet - A re-release

Postby MSA-S23 » Fri Aug 21, 2015 5:54 pm

Hello FlightGear-iens and Virtual Airliners,

Image

I am here to say that Pakistan-1, Vladimir Akimov, and I, MSA-S23 have been working quite hard to relaunch StarJet, which is my VA from a while back.

You may just say it's another virtual airline. That's what I want to change, but I need help. So, please fly with us for a bit and tell us what you think!

What's new with the Next-Gen StarJet?

- A brand new livery designed by Pakistan-1
- Social media integration
- A brand new website (soon to be released, after user login information is inputted)
- A brand new set of routes
- A brand new 'customer service' type policy (for contacting pilots)
- Brand new branding (did I say that correctly :?: )
- A YouTube channel
- And much more! (No, I'm not just saying that. PM me for the rest of the benefits :D )

Do you want more? Respond to this thread with your suggestions and we'll do our best to add them into our virtual airline.

Our site will soon be up at 'starjetair.gq'

Any donations would be amazing, as we are paying for hosting (4 bucks a month) and possibly a professional domain name soon.

And, of course, please join us. The more pilots we get, the better. (E-mail us!)

---------- EDIT ----------

A thing I didn't say is:

We've got the 'Open Skies' policy. Basically, we're open to suggestions. And, probably, if pitch us your ideas, we'll integrate it into our virtual airline. :D

---------- END OF EDIT ----------

Thanks so much!

DUE TO MY PM OUTBOX NOT WORKING, I'D LIKE TO POST MY MESSAGE TO LEGOBOY HERE.

(Drat. Someone asked. Quick! Think of benefits! :D) No, just kidding.

Hi Legoboyvdlp,

Thanks for showing a touch of interest in my pride and joy!

Basically, the one benefit to joining StarJet is that you can make up anything you want. I built StarJet around me hating Merlion and large airlines like that, originally. Basically, you fly the routes you're told to fly with the aircraft you're told to fly. I don't want StarJet to be like that, so I ask my pilots and/or forum users for help. If you and a few others tell me what you want out of a virtual airline/what things you want to be changed in StarJet, maybe more will join. I want StarJet to be open to pilots. After all, I want to provide a service to the FlightGear community, not be the head of a bunch of pilots that I can just control.

I should probably post the above. Anyways, if you want a list of benefits, here:

- A brand new, pilot-controlled flight database. (Basically, tell me if you want new flights/want to change the current flights)
- An all new website, built for simpler navigation and better site security
- Events on call (pilot's vote!)
- Contests (liveries, logos)
- Flight training (1-on-1 MP sessions)
- 'within 48 hours' response time to contacts

- Open skies! We're open to suggestions.

Thanks, once again.

Cheers,
MSA-S23

P.S. I don't want to force anyone to fly. It's only if you want to. :D

I thought you guys were merging with Merlion? So why would you need your own website if you are?

It's going to be a small website. It won't have all of our operations on it; that's going to Merlion. But as we are still an independent airline, we will continue development on a site. :P

Because...I feel that it is unprofessional (No offence, your website looks great, I just want something more, that's all). Wix is great for beginners, and beginning airlines. But, the website can be slow, and the servers are sometimes down. Also, I prefer to use a custom domain. :P

But I might look into it once I get some spare cash in my pocket. :)

Ash

What about pink, like Delta, for Cancer awareness?

If not, black might be a good idea.

I think the world is quite aware enough about cancer--what about tick livery for Lyme disease awareness?
