Mountain Flying Virtual Airline?!

Postby EDNY_TW » Sun Feb 01, 2015 8:05 pm

Hi all!
Is there any airline, that operates short distance flights in mountains (e.g. like Himmalaya, Alps, Rocky Mountains) on small aircraft?

JAFVA. It's based on the concept of you being hired as a pilot to fly one-off flights rather than selecting from a fixed schedule. You can request flights based on length and aircraft types and you will be allocated realistic flight plans.

JAFVA has a pilot MountainFlyerN22 who does exactly the type of flight you describe.

I agree with Sanhozay. Try JAFVA.

I've been flying up the Canadian Coast and into Alaska in light twins and singles.Been doing mostly 1hr flights.

You can request a flight with such things as,max time, preferred aircraft, and so on.

European Virtual Airlines flies to several mountain destinations in the Alps: Courchevel, Samedan st, Moritz, Lugano and of course Innsbruck.

Atlas flies also to these destinations (except courchevel) and in addition to several mountaineous destinations all over the world: Aspen, Telluride, Lake county airport, Jackson hole in the US, then Paro in Bhutan and some places in the Andes in south america. Have a look at the destinations here: Atlas Virtual Airlines

You can fly to these airports as a scheduled flight (see respective map linked above) or as a charter flight.

nice bonus: At both these airlines you get an award for flying to all "dangerous" airports including but not limited to the above mentioned.
Do you fly a lot in Europe? Have a look at European Virtual Airlines
Or do you fly all over the planet? Then have a look at Atlas Virtual Airlines
