Bird In Flight Airlines (A private FSX airline)

Postby MSA-S23 » Sat Jan 03, 2015 6:46 pm

Hello all,

Yesterday evening, StarJet finalized their purchase of Bird In Flight Airlines. :D Bird In Flight Airlines is a small private regional/charter virtual airline designed and run in FSX. It was founded in June of 2014, and StarJet Airways has just bought it. StarJet is converting it to FG. We have a new lounge (Bird in Flight Lounge) and some of our new/old aircraft are going to be painted with a bird in flight on the inside of our signature yellow star frame as part of our partnership/merger logo. CSJ Air is one of the major airlines that will benefit from this merger, as it is a member of WorldLine FG Alliance.

Bird In Flight Airlines' fleet consists of 12 ATR-72-500s, as well as 3 CRJ-100/200s and 4 Dash-8s. The turboprop aircraft are going to be sold and replaced by newer jet-powered C-170/180/190s. The CRJ-100/200s are going to be renovated, re-engined, and re-insulated. The cockpits will also be redone.

Regional pilots for StarJet will notice a change in aircraft lineup and liveries. StarJet Airways, even if they buy the airline, have and always will keep a part of the airline; either will keep it running as it's own separate airline (Ace Airways), will have it join WorldLine (Blue Riband Airlines), or will make a fair partnership (SuperJet Airlines (This is where StarJet got the 'Jet' from; it used to be Star Airways), Bird In Flight Airlines).

No, I don't. The airlines StarJet buys are small airlines, usually private, that are using FSX or X-Plane or something like that. When I say 'private' that means there is no connection with this airline to the outdoor world of Virtual Airlining.
