A poll for JAFVA's in LEBL

Postby IAHM-COL » Fri Oct 31, 2014 9:41 pm

OK

Omega is daring us, the JAFVA guys

He suggests that after our arrival on Saturday to LEBL, and given he is still offering services on EHAA on Sunday; he will be pleased to receive our arrival back to EHLE (Lelystad)

My answer to him is I am thinking about it. But I may consider doing a Charter flight in Bussiness Jets (Citation X, Falcon 50, and alike) directly from LEBL to EHLE [and get to use our tailsigns too].

He says strongly not advised. He thinks we can't land EHLE with those bizz jets. I think we can!!

So guys the question is:

Will you be on board to get JAFVA charters from LEBL directly into EHLE and give Omega some landing lessons?

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it? Probably not, because if they don’t recognise their freedoms, they’ll let their freedoms fall

The first yes is mine. It will be my pleasure to Teach omega how to land a Citation X in EHLE

Gosh... I didn't challenge anyone. EHLE doesn't have ILS and it's not very easy to fly the full NDB approach.
I was suggesting LEBL-EHRD and then EHRD-EHLE VFR with small props. That way you can enjoy the Dutch scenery at 1000ft.

If I go you'll see me approaching that citation to EHLE...

I'll have to pass on this I'm afraid, much as I'd like to fly the Citation X again. I have to be up very early on Sunday morning for a 320 mile drive and sleepy is not an option.

Cp that G-SHOZ.
Once you are able to fly again, just leave a request a hire, and a flight will be assigned from LEBL

An important note: The No vote is Omega
He said to me he really preffers us to fly into EHRD, safe and nice. Then take GAs over EHLE.
The whole charter thing from LEBL to EHLE gives him bone-chills... he feels in a very responsible position with a very challenging situation to handle.

But If Im doing it, and going back to Holland, to get controlled EHAA, I will attempt (if not succeed) putting a Citation X or something alike into EHLE

Ohhh I wish I could join but as you know I have no FGFS access right now. What days do you do EHAA-ct INT (in normal times) Omega? I could try it in a 777 :D

No.... Up to you what and where you want to fly, if you are not comfortable with full NDB approaches and a 4000 foot runway, EHRD is a better option.
EHRD-EHLE in small aircraft with a VFR flightplan is very rewarding as well, very nice scenery.

EDIT: I ATC EHAA every Weekend 1700-2100 UTC usually.
