Most of your flight includes NDB guidance. Make use of those :D
Also, for the dead-reckoning and visual parts of it, had you read Michalis (De Profundis) VFR guide II ?
It is a really really awesome guide

Great to see you putting in the effort to learn this stuff Lego. 8)

Being able to navigate using all the different techniques opens up a whole new world of flying and it's a great sense of achievement when you see that destination runway knowing you did it all as you would have done in a real aircraft.

Indeed. I will need to check nrst airports winds to do dead reckoning I guess. Or as soon as it changes look up wind and correct. I will read it :)

@Falcon

I apologize but a flight within the limits of your request cant be found.
The reason: you are willing to make short hops in Airliners typically used for really long hauls (or not at all)
Such as the Airbus A330 or Airbus A340 family
And you limited your aircraft to only these.

At George Bush Houston Intl. (KIAH) some flights depart using these, but all of the flights in these aircrafts are intercontinental flights. (Amsterdam and Paris the most common). Definitely not "a short hop".

Therefore, your request cannot be approved and your delivery is omitted.

I encourage you to consider another request within limits of what is happening at the moment in your airport of last arrival: You can choose either Alburquerque (KABQ) or Houston (KIAH), and then when you find a flight+Aircraft that you are willing to do, contact JAFVA for delivery.

Have fun flying,
Sincerely
IHCOL

@FALCON
I've got your PIREP, but I definitely cannot find your tracker.
Tracking is very important part of a good JAFVA Flight. Without it I cant evaluate your performance, your taxiing, that you did not change simrates, that your flight was as expected, your speed and altitude, and more importantly I cannot really know how much time I will be accruing you :(

[in addition I am not looking at the mpmap 24hours a day so I just did not see you flying. How can I know that you actually completed the flight without a proper tracking!?]

Howto track?

The best way is to verify you are being tracked once you connect to the multiplayer server,

http://mpserver15.flightgear.org/modules/fgtracker/

Here we can see the pilots being tracked. More importantly we see that currently only servers 1 and 16 are being tracked, and if you fly in a different server you will not be tracked as necessary for a good JAFVA flight.

Additionally, the server 12 is most stable and has a great tracker seen here:

http://mpserver12.flightgear.org/tracker/

Once you finish your flight, get the tracking log (or logs) registered under your callsign and paste them in the form, example, for the latest completed flight, by CAIN, he pasted this url:

http://mpserver12.flightgear.org/tracke ... ht/302441/

I will validate you the 36 minutes of this flight an allow you to request your next destination. This is a one time courtesy only, and you will not get more valid flights in the absence of a proper track file (or a good attempt to get one!) :oops:

Does it sound like a plan?

Yosemite doesn't work with FlightGear! Can you go back to the old version?

@BEE-LINE: it's just the launcher that isn't working, you can still launch FG manually.
