Note the misspelling of "Windshield Wiper" as "Windschield Wiper". You have inherited this from other 707 overhead panels.

all i removed was the TACAN and the HIS Horizontal Speed Indicator

are you asking that i create heading control Knob?

i did not mess with the Autopilot controls in the cockpit on the center console

i will make sure to add the altitude alarm back to the pilots side

Off topic observation: Is it normal that all the circuit breakers are pulled like in Werner Horvaths photo above? :? (Even when dark/cold.)

If you can, put the rivet seams in a separate layer and make them transparent to tone them down quite a bit. ;) (I usually find them looking best when one nearly have to know where to look for them to see them.)

Otherwise it looks quite ok. :D

You know ... if you want the livery to look as good as your new interior does, you ought to remap the texture so that it is 2048x2048 (if you haven't done so already). The liveries for the existing 707 suffer a little from blurring because of the size of the texture. Look at liveries for the 747-400 (4096x1024) or the 777-200 (2048x2048) and you'll see they are much sharper. The only problem is that the existing liveries for the 707 won't fit, but they could do with reworking anyway because the resolution is not good enough to get the little details in there that make them sing.

Of course, if all livery paintkits and "source" files were SVG, they would be easier to scale and change but that's a topic for another day.

You do not need to remap the model to change the texture resolution. UVmaps use relative coordinates, so as long as you're just scaling/stretching the complete texture, the mapping will look the same. This also allows you to have liveries with various resolutions on the same model.

k here is my first attempt at a 4096 texture (just resized) has not been cleaned up yet

i will have to rework it quite a bit to make it look Sharp at a higher resolution

Really? That's great -- I can do some hi-res 707 liveries now. ;)

Do they have to be powers of two? I was going to double it to 2048 anyway, but it's good to know.

Yes, they have to be powers of two (well, you can use other sizes, but then FlightGear will have to resize the images before it uses them, slowing down performance).
