Thanks Sealbhach and Johan G for your comments. I'm glad you like it.

Now I would ask the forum for some help:
Many instruments I added to the panel are not showing any value yet because there is no value in the porperty they are listening to. For example:
<property>/engines/engine[0]/est-fuelpress</property>
or <property>/engines/engine[0]/est-oilpress</property>
or <property>engines/engine/oil-temperature-degc</property>
or <property>consumables/fuel/tank[4]/level-gal_us</property>
and many others

If anybody knows of a tuto or wiki or topic here in the forum with any info on how to make ( or get) a value in a property please let me know. I searched the forum but got not much info. I guess it has to be done with Nasal or Xml code. Which would be better? Which would be easier? Any help, any link will be really apreciated.

Best Regards

should be an existing one. I don't know the tank layout right now, correcting the tank index (4) should give a reading.

The others are not existing. You can use a script to calculate more or less authentic values. I've done a basic engine script for the F4U and bf109, it calculates a value for cylinder head temp and oil temp (this is present in the property tree, but oil is instantly hot after engine start). Suggestions and additions are very appreciated.

Thanks Dfaber. I downloaded your aircraft and looked the R2800.nas file. I will try to add the code to B-25 tonight.

- FDM modification to have 4 tanks ( this aircraft is supposed to have 6) but it will have to wait for the other two...
- I added handles ( " pickables ") to both windows to be able to open them.
- Some nasal scripts to get some values to be used for some intruments.
- Some models to Navigator's Comparment ( ARC5 radios and a small hydraulic system and some other stuff you will find there ).
- Two more views: Navigator and Bombardier

EYECANDY:
- Radio controls to the panel ( copilot side ) added. You can clic on it to change values. COM1, COM2, NAV1, NAV2 and ADF. But no Transporder yet
- Rain effect added to windshield. I hope you like it. You should have Precipitation Enabled in your configuration and must select Thunderstorm or Stormy Monday, or any of the CAT ( Marginal, CAT I, CAT II, CAT III). To those new to flightgear: you can change Global Wheater in : --> Environment --> Global Wheater --> METAR SOURCE ...
- I added a helper to find the switch to turn the instruments lights. If you load the aircraft at night or evening it will show you where to clic to turn on the light ( or if you change your time settings to night or evening ... )

There is no picture of the rain effect... Nor even a video ... You have to try them ... I have no youtube account

I hope you like it !

Good day everybody.
I made a mistake in the last update. There was a problem with the yoke with the wrong axis for rotation. I forgot to modified the values in the xml file after resizing the yoke. I noticed it yesterday while I was "flying" with this aircraft. So I fixed it and even made some improvement to simulate a cloth boot. At least it looks better now.

This is the link for the new files ( the whole aircraft ) :

UPDATED 26022012: I finally got rid of an error : "failed to load submodel Aircraft/b-25/models ..." which didn't affect the loading of the aircraft but was blocking the preview of the model in fgrun ( I usually use FGO )

Best Regards

Thanks Dtucka !
Your feedback encourage me to continue working on this aircraft.
I am afraid next update will be until next week because I won't have much free time this week, but there are many things which I still want to add to this bird.

Your very welcome. I will continue to follow this project. I had an idea for the wooden table. what would you say to a clipboard on the table. maybe a clipboard with charts or maps attached? Just a thought :D

Indeed , It is a good idea.
I will have to search for a GNU GPL image of nice map. Or maybe a map borrowed from another aircraft already using it.
If anybody happens to know of an aircraft in flightgear already using a GNU image of a map please let me know.

I think the safer way to go is to get an image generated with http://wiki.flightgear.org/Atlas

Image

Maps titles generated with Atlas look nice. We could even try to make them Black/White with Gimp .
Now the question would be ... wich part of the world? Should it be Europe? Should it be France? Should it be The Pacific?
