Multiplayer Callsign on tailplane?

Postby Clive2670 » Fri Apr 21, 2017 5:36 pm

Does anyone know if it's at all possible to put a pilots (multiplayer) callsign on the tailplane of such an aircraft? That is to say if I started the program up with multiplayer enabled with the 777 *** would there be much coding involved to start the plane with my unique multiplayer callsign (G-BLS01) emblazoned on the tailplane. Or is this just not possible without me doing my own "paintjob" on the plane and saving it and then using "my" plane to fly with? Thanks in advance
Thanks Clive aka: G-BLS01

I think I have seen some aircraft with that particular feature, though I can not remember which one(s).

The DC-3 has this feature, you can check it out. Callsign is shown under the wings.

You can also do it with canvas.

The feature you're looking for is "immatriculation". I'd suggest a gander at Helijah's Hangar - there's a few examples there. Check out the Robinson R44 chopper - I painted it recently so I know it has this.

I've never implemented it myself (spoils paint), but I think there's an image file of a character set involved and some pointer to the location coordinates for display in the .ac file. Want more info? Dig into Immatriculation threads on the forum - sure it will be in there.

Cheers,

The 707 has it enabled on tail, wings and cockpit: https://github.com/D-MKF1/707
Parts related to it are registration and flight number in Models and Nasal folders, plus some other code to enable it on the plane ;) .

Yes I did see the 707 has this feature, that is the main reason I raised the question about the possibility of the 777-*** variants. But didn't know how I could go about "fiddling" with the code to do this myself, or maybe someone might want to enable this on future developments of the 777?
