Livery Suggestions

Postby murderbybox » Tue Jan 17, 2017 2:00 am

Hi, some of you may remember me from a while back (A year or so, maybe two), I was reasonably active making liveries/repaints, whatever.

I kinda wanna start doing that stuff again, so could you in the comments here leave some suggestions?

As I am not not great, a rule:
Only GA props and jets, gliders too, and commercial jetliners/prop liners, no military.

Eurowings, Germanwings

It would be very nice to replace the old Germanwings Livery that the AI aircraft currently still use.

Accepted. Some help on AI aircraft repainting would be nice, and as I don't have FG, nor will, I can't access the textures.
If you could send them to me, upload them to google drive, anything would be helpful.

Inkscape/Gimp and 3DViewer is what i use.

Also, I assume this is for the '320neo, or is it for the old one?

here are the paintkits:

new Germanwings livery:

I guess we have to change some xml files so that they get used instead of the old ones?

Eurowings/Germanwings have only classic A320 and A319, no neo AFAIK.

Those germanwings livery's look fine. As far as i can tell, all we really need to do is edit the xml files?

I'd say I am just about done! I can't work for too long more today, but tell me what I can edit/change in this for later, to make it more accurate.
EDIT1: Do note this is for AI. If you want, I'll make one for the A320 Family for flying.

Very nice!
can you make the Flags & "D-AIZQ" smaller ?

yes , it would be nice th have that livery for flying aircraft, too.
But I cannot decide which of the A320 & A330 variants is best for flying.

For AI Germanwings it's easy to link or copy to the new livery:
Code: Select all
cd Textures/
mv GermanWings GermanWings.old
ln -s GermanWings-neu GermanWings

Painkits for some of the AI aircraft (including A320) can be found on the livery database under paintkits.
