Could someone please make a paintkit for the DH2 Beaver?

Postby SplitDecision » Mon Jul 13, 2015 10:03 am

I am currently creating a RNZAF Antarctic livery for the DH2 Beaver and my biggest annoyance is the construction lines and doors which I have to paint over so they don't stand out in front of the new colour. Its a big annoyance to have to do this and then repaint them back with a colour that looks normal for the livery (which is this case is mostly bright orange). It would be very helpfull if I could get a .xcf paint kit with doors and construction lines in separate layers for this aircraft. If there is one around which I don't know about or even an already made FlightGear compatible DH2 RNZAF Antarctic livery then could you please let me know and point me in the right direction. Otherwise it would be a great help for me and probably others if someone could make a paint kit that fits that description and reply with a download link.

Your help would be greatly appreciated :)

Looking at the paintkit at the livery database web site and not finding one in the FGAddon repo aircraft folder I definitively see your point. ;) It is only an outline; in essence not all that useful.

this one was copied from the livery database web site a few months ago.
I don't know if its useful

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it? Probably not, because if they don’t recognise their freedoms, they’ll let their freedoms fall

It is exactly the same.

That one is incredibly much better. :D

Please consider submitting it to the livery database and/or contacting the aircraft maintainer* to have it submitted to the FGAddon (and the FGMEMBER) repo.

* I would have looked for the name now, but strangely enough I do not get a response from the SourceForge web site. It worked just a few minutes ago.

Thought I had added it to the database a few years ago as an .svg file but of course I could have forgotten to do it

This xcf is stripped out of an svg file, I'll have a look through my files and sort out a xcf and svg upload in the next few days.
