Going retro...

Postby N-SCOT » Wed Jan 08, 2014 5:16 pm

Hi all,

Doing a little paint work on buses, of all things!

Decided to give a nod to older british operators. Playing with the 707 (actually the 320C). While not exactly accurate as to model, I put this one together..

Also have an early British Caledonian in the bag, before the yellow pin striping was added.

More later!

Nice :D
How are you getting on with the UV mapping, I'm pulling my hair out (what little there is left) over this, I hate maps with overlapping objects and different scales for each half.

Repainted with correct number of windows and repositioned doors.

Oooh, I echo that. It is certainly, at best, challenging.

However, soldiering on regardless…

The plan, at the moment (may be subject to change), is to have a livery pack containing the following…

Monarch Airlines 1981
Donaldson International Airways 1971
British Caledonian 1979 (before the addition of the yellow pin striping)
British Caledonian 1983
BOAC 1964
Laker Airlines 1978
Dan Air London 1973
British Eagle 1968
Anglo Cargo 1986
British Midland Airways 1983
British Airways Cargo 1983
Quantas Airlines "V-Jet" 1963 (this will NOT be the John Travolta one! )

Likely be split over 2 models - the Innis Cunningham / Marc Kraus model and the Prestes / Gonthäler one, depending on whether 100 series or 300 series.

Will update here at things progress.

I had most of those on my original "to do" list but gave up on them due to the mapping problems.

All I'm doing at the moment is updating the liveries in the database then it's back to the AI models.

Can you add PIA to your list as they were the first Asian airline to fly a jet
