New version 707 liveries

Postby gooneybird » Wed Oct 23, 2013 4:33 pm

Just a heads up, I've started updating some 707 liveries to fit the new version.

Is there any way to hide the call sign?

Nice one

when there are Liveries without the Callsign, just try to let the immat pos entry in the liveries xml have the same number like that livery which dont shows the immat! Shame on me i cant test it cause my grafics dont like much .eff's
actually quite still naive

Hi,

I have change the whole livery.xml's and the model.xml
Now we have following options in the livery.xml to select.

0 - no immat
1 - immat near the cockpit on fuselage
2 - immat above the rear doors on fuselage
3 - immat on the rudder and wings

Always the last version for developing your liveries:

I always hold my git fgdata directroy clean and make a copy from the original called for me fgdata_dev.
On linux I change the path in the fgfs.sh,
on mac os x I called the copy like the original data and replace its name with orig_data.
On win I don't no the best way, but its nearly the same.

Thanks, can I safely extract this over my current git version.

If you want rewrite only your aircraft, sure. The link will become the next official fg git version.

bye,
Marc

Aah! I've just realised something, the new 707 is a-420/30 so these liveries don't apply as they are for a -320, I thought this was a continuation of the previous 707 update.

Can someone tell what version is going to be included in FG, it seems we now have several models all slightly different. :?

The old 707 from Innis Cunnigham is replaced by the new 707 in the official git data.
I revamped his version since Avril 2013 and now its a new aircraft ;-)
There was day by day more and more steps in the development.
From the old 3d model only the animated part of the rudder and the nose-gear-doors
stayed over. All the rest is new.
And in August it was distinctly, that the old liveries can't do theire jobs any more.
In the new 707 there is a paintkit for the liveries.
And so everybodys help is welcome :-)
This week, the 707 will be updated to the version 2.1.1. in the official git data
repositiory. So wait, or use the link above for the dev-version.

Bye,
Marc

Thanks, I'll leave the -320 liveries then and maybe find some -420/30's to do later.

Gooneybird, the 320 is included in the same package, there is a change of engines with the livery.
Unless I understood wrong the 320 and 420/30 difference is the engines and both are available in the 707 which is in git.

Thanks, back to the liveries then, maybe this should be mentioned on the wiki.

Yes engines and the wings are the main differences, from what I can make out this model actually has the 320B/C wing.
