Five new F-14 liveries almost ready

Postby dtucka » Mon Mar 12, 2012 4:22 pm

Ok so I have been on an F-14 kick for the past couple of weeks. I just finished the VF-111 Sundowners livery whick you can see in my previous post. So here are five more that are almost ready for release

The VF-33 "Starfighters" DONE

The VF-14 "Tophatters"

The VF-41 "Black Aces"

The VF-213 "Black Lions"

And the VF-143 "Pukin Dogs"

All I have left to do before I can submit them to the livery database is find correct registration numbers (bureau numbers). Please feel free to give me any suggestion as to how I might improve upon these liveries. :D :D

Hi Dtucka,

I also work on the F-14 liveries too. I have a Bombcats one almost ready. I would add some more wear and tear effects to the liveries so that they don't look as clean. If you want I can forward you my worn out grey colour with effects to go instead of the grey you have on some of them.

Myself and dtucka are wondering if it is possible to have the livery of the external fuel tanks to match the Tomcat livery? The standard livery for the fuel tanks is the Swordsmen but changing the code is too challenging for me lol.

Any ideas muchly appreciated

Hi guys!
I'm a fan of the Tomcat! I use it very often so I would like to have some new liveries of it.
Is there a link to download these new fantastic liveries?
Greetings,

I'd like to see the Iranian one. I'm quite tired of the drab grey. Love the old liveries from the Navy, yes, but the F-15 with camo is just plain awesome and I bet the Iranian F-14 would be wonderful.

I have the Iranian Air Force livery practically done. It's choppy and lame, but in fly-by view in supersonic mode it is just awesome. I flew from Bodo, Norway, and Adelaide, South AU.

Got a A-model 3D mesh in the works with a new (and supposedly improved) texture map.
But as you know ... ETA 2 years :(

You know what could make the F-14b a whole lot better? A freaking AP! Most of the bits work, but the auto-throttle doesn't work. Did the F-14b have an auto-throttle? I would expect not, but it would be tough to do cross-country formation flying without it. I'm naive in this area, so if anyone knows about the fighter's AP, let me know.
