He used launcher method for install. Not download - unzip - rename.

in the launcher, go to the craft selection tab... then click on your chosen craft... i believe if you hover over it or maybe shift-click on it, you will be able to see the path it is installed in... you can also click once and then click again in the right hand window to see the details of the craft... at the bottom of that page you'll see the path to where it is installed...

you should also find it listed in the fgfs.log file near the top in the first 50-100 lines or so... in the log it would be listed similar to this
Code: Select all
  109.26 [INFO]:general         option:aircraft-dir = /home/myuser/flightgear-dev/fgdata-ng/Aircraft/ufo
  109.26 [INFO]:general         option:aircraft = ufo

how ever you get to it, please show us the path that the craft is installed in as FG sees it...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Very strange, aircraft downloaded via launcher has not -master or something other in the directory name. Git Hub planes has that -master in the name...
